A new site for finding family activities in Switzerland has popped
up and we got to do a quick Q&A with Kinderfreizeit.ch.
Q - In a few words, please describe Kinderfreizeit.ch
A - KinderFreizeit.ch is an internet site that offers a number of ideas
how children and their families might use free-time in a sensible and
challenging
way.
This site was created for the area of Central Switzerland. It allows
the user to read back lots of leisure offers and activities, in a quick,
up-to-date and bundled way.
Q – Who started this project and why was
the idea put into life?
A - Karin Moser, Mirjam Bachmann and Sheila Huber worked for this project.
We are all mothers. Mirjam and Karin made pedagogical /educational studies.
Sheila is in the Marketing business.
Our experiences with our own children made us start this project, as
we realized how difficult it was to investigate into useful information
for children’s leisure. Sometimes, by the time we found what we
were looking for, the event was already over, or booked.
Q – What regional areas do you cover?
A - So far it covers Central Switzerland
Q – How can our readers be of help to
Kinderfreizeit?
A - We do hope they will use the offers given on our site, give us feed
back and of course we would welcome sponsoring!
KinderFreizeit is meant for a large group of users, not only children,
but also adults who are interested in planning children’s leisure-time
occupation. They will all find useful tips and information for maybe
unknown activities to them. KinderFreizeit makes not only suggestions
for walks or excursions. There is also a large range of possibilities
in sports, nature, culture and intellectual challenges to be found.
The
site KinderFreizeit helps to plan a trip or get full information about
courses, events, and special children happenings. Parents, grand-parents,
godmothers, godfathers etc. will certainly appreciate this new service.
Q – Where do you see Kinderfreizeit.ch
in two years?
A - We do hope that our site will be helpful and appreciated.
We hope to be popular soon and plan to work on texts in English as well.
Maybe
later,
we shall work out the same issue for other regions in Switzerland.
Regarding children’s activities, we would like to be the Information
Center of competence.
Q – Which areas on your site do you focus
the most on?
A - Quality is our main goal. From the very first moments of our working
on this project, it was clear that we wanted it to be professional and
of high standard, - this regarding substance and design.
Q – What do you personally wish to get
out of this site?
A - We do hope that the users will appreciate the information given on
Kinderfreizeit.ch and remember us to be site No 1 in this information
field.
