ONLINE STORIES AND GAMES

Sometimes it`s ok to let someone else do the story telling and often do my children ask to play on my computer. Usually I`m occupaing it, but the other day i let them have a go and here are some of the sites for children we found and liked; maybe you want to share them with your children?

- BLUE CLUES:
http://www.noggin.com/games/blues/blue_gold_clues/

NOGGIN links key educational content with experiences children know and love. Through a detailed, network-wide curricular framework, guided by national standards in preschool education, NOGGIN makes the most of the time children spend watching TV and playing online.

- COLOR & SAY:
http://www.thecrayonhouse.com/html/color___say.html

Print out the different images to color and practice the words.
Ps: The images opens in a new window and to enlargen the image for print just click on the image it self.

- DINOSAUR WOLRD: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sn/prehistoric_life/games/dinosaur_world/
Travel back in time and meet the Jurassic giants roaming a 3D dinosaur landscape.
It's an old favourite - the game inspired by the groundbreaking computer animation of the BBC TV series Walking with Dinosaurs.

- JUICE BOTTLE JINGLES:
http://www.lhs.berkeley.edu/shockwave/jar.html

Why do the different amounts of water in the bottles create different notes when the bottles are tapped?

- WORLD WATCH: http://owlkids.com/owl/world.html
My kids are too young for this site, but i as a parent found it interesting.
If you have older kids this is a good page for getting started on discussing topics of the world.
