activities around Switzerland Switzerland is for sure a picture perfect country with numerous lakes framed by jaw dropping mountains, roaming in the background on a sunny day. During these euphoric days it is hard to imagine that Switzerland is also blessed with rain… and more rain where you almost can’t see your neighbour’s house. Since this country offers all kinds of weather it is time to introduce things to do in Switzerland. Here Mamizeit has listed both indoor and outdoor activities - so here we go: AARGAU Schweizer Kinder Museum: The Museum lies in Baden and is basically a children’s museum that encourage the children to explore different aspects of the world they are living in both historically and about the future that lies ahead of them: www.kindermuseum.ch Lenzburg Castle: You pass Lenzburg on your way from Luzern to the airport and you can’t really miss the castle since it lies on the top of a hill. It looks mysterious for those who have never visited the castle, but if you take a day trip with you family to visit the castle, the mysteries of the castle will be revealed through a historical revelation. There is also a children’s museum and a playground outside, so there is no reason to not bring a long the whole family: www.schlosslenzburn.ch Murimoos Organic Farm: in Muri (Aargau) and has a great playground where both parents and children can meet and the kids have a chance to run around and play out their energy. There is also a pet farm there, the possibility to do horseback riding and when you get hungry there is a little café there to take care of that matter: www.murimoos.ch Wildegg Castle: As the name of the castle suggests - it lies in Wildegg- Aargau. From 01.04.2009-31.10.2009 the Wildegg Castle offers a special exhibition: Wildegg Castle is filled with portraits of the people who once lived there. A brochure guides the visitors through the building to eleven selected pictures that even today have something to tell us. Read more on the website: www.musee-suisse.ch The Wildegg Castle hosts an indoor children’s experimental Room and a play area outside – So this is something that both parents and kids can enjoy! BASEL Dampfbahn – a Mini Steam Engine situated by the Psychiatrichen Universitaetsklinik in Basel Mini Steam Engine rides every second Sunday from the middle of April to the middle of October www.dampfbahn-basel.ch Wiesner's Beeriland: Bottmingen where you can bring you family along to pick blackberries and Johannisbeeren starting in June: www.beeriland.ch Playground, Mini-Golf, Restaurant: Is owned by Migros and consists of a big playground with a “climbing castle”, adventurous slides, wooden huts and lots more: www.seegarten-gruen80.ch >> continue on to activities in Bern |
